Privacy Policy

Kamus Rakyat does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.
The app makes no network requests at all. The entire dictionary is contained inside the app, so it works with the device offline and never needs to contact a server — including ours.
What the app does not do
- It does not ask you to create an account or sign in.
- It does not record, log, or transmit the words you search for.
- It contains no advertising, no analytics, and no third-party tracking libraries.
- It does not request access to your contacts, photos, location, microphone, or camera.
- It does not use your data for advertising or share it with data brokers.
Information stored on your device
Two things are saved locally so the app remembers them between launches:
- Saved words and recently viewed entries, kept in the app's own Application Support folder.
- Your settings — interface language, which languages meanings appear in, appearance, and speech preferences.
This information never leaves your device. It is not readable by us or by anyone else, and deleting the app removes it. If you have iCloud or iTunes device backups enabled, iOS may include this data in those backups according to your own system settings; that is handled by Apple under Apple's terms, not by us.
Pronunciation
Spoken pronunciation uses voices already installed on your device by iOS. No text is sent anywhere to produce speech.
Children
Kamus Rakyat is suitable for general audiences and collects no personal information from anyone, including children. Because nothing is collected, there is nothing to request deletion of.
Dictionary content
The bundled corpus is built in part from openly licensed sources, including CC-CEDICT and Wiktionary extracts, and carries their attribution and share-alike terms. Full attribution is shown inside the app under Settings → Data notes & acknowledgements. These are content licences and involve no personal data.
Changes to this policy
If a future version of the app adds a feature that handles personal information — optional account sync, for example — this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change. The version of this policy that applies is the one published when you downloaded or last updated the app.
